Short concert review: Loney, Dear

This evening I went to a concert othat I had looked forward to for a long time. Swedish singer/songwriter Loney, Dear would play at a church here in Umeå. I had expected that he would bring a whole band with him, but instead he just brought Malin Ståhlberg and both of them played a really beautiful acoustic set with guitar, piano and accordion and sometimes using live-recorded loops. The church seemed perfect for this concert and this melodic songs full of melancholy opened up my heart.
In the end the crowd of maybe 300 people gave standing ovations after they had finished playing.

I enjoyed this evening a lot as this was definitely one of the best concerts in a long, long time.

If you have the chance to see him (and eventually his band) play live, you really should go!
